Supporting local clients for over ten years

Our services

Counselling encompasses all the things that can affect how we feel in life, from our health to our relationships and families. We are each affected by the world we live in and our unique circumstances that life has created.

At Circle we strongly believe that it is important not to wait until you are in a crisis before you seek support. Many people reach crisis and do ask for help which we are so glad they did, but we are on a mission to encourage others to see counselling as a proactive space which is part of your whole wellbeing. Much like going to the gym helps your body and mind, counselling and psychological support helps both the mind and body.

Low mood & Depression

Our moods can change throughout our lives in response to events in life affecting us. You may be feeling out of sorts and noticing patterns like sleeping more or less, over or under eating, using substances like alcohol to cope with mood changes or avoiding contact with others or things that you used to enjoy.

Our counselling sessions can begin to identify why you may be feeling the way you do and work together to make changes that will help your mood improve.

Health issues

When our health changes, it can affect us psychologically. Receiving a diagnosis can be anxiety provoking and challenge how we feel day to day. Entering new phases such as the menopause for women and partners or general health changes can challenge our relationships.

Counselling provides the private space to express what may be hard to say to others and to understand how to reduce anxiety and adjust to health changes.

Adult Therapy

Relationships & Family issues

Each and every one of us has relationships in our lives and we are each affected by these relationships both positively and negatively. Perhaps you are struggling with issues in an intimate relationship or struggling with family dynamics such as parents, siblings or other family members.

Perhaps you are estranged from family members or a friendship has ended leaving you with difficult feelings.

Trauma & Life events

Unfortunately life sometimes presents traumatic experiences that can affect us psychologically. Trauma encompasses anything that leaves you feeling vulnerable and which is outside of your control. Anxiety is normal following a traumatic event and sometimes people experience PTSD Post traumatic Stress Disorder. Traumatic events may include sudden illness, accidents, sudden loss, assault, abuse, birth trauma, someone you care about coming to harm and other life events.

Evidence tells us that talking about traumatic experiences with a trained professional can help reduce anxiety and support your recovery.
